Books to Read

Letters to a Young Brother

I recommend this book to all young man to read in search of advice from wise older man that understand what are going through in life. I would also recommend this book to fathers and mother raising young boys as  guidebook to teach them life long lessons. Hill Harper writes a series to young man responding the young man's questions about working toward your goals: there's a difference between quitting and changing your mind, women, sex, money, being raised in a single-parent household, various other subject/issues.

"I want you to be as powerful as you can be."

The Brand Within

Being a clothing designer myself I have to recommend this. To all current fashion designers or potential designers this book is must read. I would also recommend the "Display of Power" by Daymond John. For those, who don't know who Daymond John is, he is the pioneer of urban clothing line FUBU (F|or U|s B|y U|s). Daymond John tells his story of how started his clothing line in Hollis, Queens. He shows the difference between having item and having a brand that is lifestyle.

"As long as you're thinking , Daymond, you might as well think big." -Daymond's mother

Rich Dad Poor Dad

This book changed my mind of how I see money. I would recommend this book to everyone of all ages. Most people are stuck in rat race for the rest of their lives because unwise financial decisions. Living paycheck to paycheck and years working they have nothing to show for their years of hard work. The difference between rich people and middle and poor people. The rich have assets (generating income) versus the Middle and Poor having liabilities (losing income).

"The rich have money work for them."

The 48 Laws of Power
This is must read for everyone before die. This book teach you how to hold handle people in power, how to get power, or those who have power want to keep it.

"Fools say that they learn by experience. I prefer to profit by the others' experience." -Bismarck

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"He who opens a school, closes a school." - Victor Hugh

I feel the quote is true when your educated and people don't have to commit desperate acts of feed themselves and their family. What are your thoughts on the quote of the day.
